Until now, New Zealand’s most discerning admirers of fine,
luxury goods have had to seek out such wonders from afar...
A NEW ERA
For the very first time on Antipodean shores, a true luxury department store experience exists. FARADAYS, at No. Eight Faraday Street, sits within one of Auckland’s most exemplary, heritage-listed buildings in the city’s oldest precinct.
The 550 square metre emporium and bar houses a collection of the most irresistible goods from lands afar, alongside New Zealand’s most revered own artisans.
Presenting a bold, yet thoughtful curation of iconic luxury fashion, footwear, homeware and fragrances, FARADAYS is also the home to selected artworks, floristry and an in-house bar, featuring a covetable list of fine wines and champagnes.
Joining a coterie of beloved international luxury hotspots, FARADAYS at No. Eight is an escape for all of the senses, with its own distinct point of view, bringing to life a longtime vision for founders Edward and Constance von Dadelszen.
Designed in collaboration with Cheshire Architects, FARADAYS sits inside the Textile Centre, Parnell. Constructed between 1908 and 1922 with original brick walls, exposed beams, dark timber detailing, Matai flooring and enormous paned windows, the FARADAYS fit-out will remain sympathetic to these beautiful characteristics, whilst bringing an unequivocal romance back to the luxury department store experience.

With a key focus on French regions, you’ll enjoy our by-the-bottle, and distinctly different by-the-glass pour service inside our enveloping space. Should you desire a light bite, simply pick your favourite dish from our equally attentive food menu designed by executive chef, Sarah Ginella.
