Est. 2021, FARADAYS, at No. Eight Faraday Street sits within one of Auckland’s most exemplary, heritage-listed buildings in the city’s oldest precinct.
The 550 square metre emporium and bar houses a collection of the most irresistible goods from lands afar, alongside New Zealand’s most revered artisans.
Presenting a bold, yet thoughtful curation of iconic luxury fashion, footwear, homeware and fragrances, FARADAYS is also the home to selected artworks, floristry and an in-house bar, featuring a covetable list of fine wines and champagnes.
Joining a coterie of beloved international luxury hotspots, FARADAYS at No. Eight is an escape for all of the senses, with its distinct point of view, bringing to life a longtime vision for founders Edward and Constance von Dadelszen.
Designed in collaboration with Cheshire Architects, FARADAYS sits inside the Textile Centre, Parnell. Constructed between 1908 and 1922 with original brick walls, exposed beams, dark timber detailing, Matai flooring and enormous paned windows, the FARADAYS fit-out will remain sympathetic to these beautiful characteristics, whilst bringing an unequivocal romance back to the luxury department store experience.

Housing approximately 26 seats plus standing room, Faraday's Bar has become the epicurean destination, holding an impressive array of fine wines and champagnes. With a key focus on French regions, you’ll enjoy our by-the-bottle and distinctly different by-the-glass pour service inside our enveloping space.
