Treasured Objects

Unearth the Faradays team’s most-adored home decor pieces this season

Home is where the heart is, as the saying goes. It’s little wonder, then that we desire to be surrounded by precious things that make a house a home. Objects that carry memories, scents, and stories. Pieces that make a statement about who we are, just as our wardrobes do.

Below, the Faradays team shares their current favourite pieces for the home, available in store and online.

Catene

Constance, Co-founder and Creative Director

My favourite home decor piece:   The Ginori 1735 Catene Collection

Why I love it: I’ve always been a firm believer that life is too short to save beautiful pieces for “special occasions” so in our household we serve everything from a homemade soup on a Monday night in the Catene bowls, to a three-course dinner using platters and matching dinner plates for guests.

Our home has both classical and modern touches, Art Deco furniture juxtaposed against the sharp crisp lines of black and chrome mid-century pieces collected over the years. Rock and roll photos, paintings and family heirlooms all mix to create something unique and individual to us, so it was important for me to find a dinner set that worked with all of these elements. The Catene design has a touch of Art Deco mixed with a silver border that decorates the crisp white porcelain. It blends in perfectly with our aesthetic and is a range I am slowly growing piece by piece. Next on my list is the range of bread plates to add to our collection.

lamp

Elizabeth, Head of Hospitality, Faraday’s Bar

My favourite home decor piece:   The Stories of Italy Green Bucket Lamp

Why I love it: My bedroom is full of tonal greens, a colour I find soothing and relaxing, and I’m especially fond of lighting that is soft and diffusing to help create a calm atmosphere. This gorgeous lamp perfectly complements my little sanctuary both aesthetically and practically – not to mention it’s incredibly sturdy and almost impossible for the cat to knock over.

candle-holder

Amelia, Head of Brand and Communications

My favourite home decor piece: The Loewe Wax Candleholders - in every scent

Why I love them: I've burned through a few of these beautiful candles and the obsession is only growing.

These opulent all-wax pieces begin as a classic candlestick, eventually burning all the way to the bottom. I love the way the wax melts enchantingly down, forming a unique, organic sculpture as time wears on. They're a beautiful little talking point at a dinner party as they often catch people by surprise.

The herbaceous scents also work particularly well with certain foods - I love to light the Oregano candle when I am cooking and serving Italian food, for example, creating a fully immersive experience for the senses.
